Intracranial aneurysm with poor topography embolized by a coil guiding catheterization technique

Intracranial aneurysms with poor topography are still difficult and dangerous to be catheterized during endovascular procedures. Here we report a novel coil guiding catheterization technique which could safe helpful. Seven of 5 cases were embolized the in Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, from January 2017 March 2019. All for embolization. One was posterior communicating segment internal carotid artery (ICA), three ophthalmic ICA, one cerebral artery. Two had multiple aneurysms. by embolized. successfully safely. The embolization results as follows: Raymond Class 1 occlusion achieved 4 aneurysms, 2 1, 3 immediately after procedure. Follow-up imaging demonstrated all total occlusion. There no aneurysm re-rupture or patient death. indicated that has good safety effectiveness, high rate technical success low periprocedural complications reported cases. Thus, appling considered effective method, especially topography.
